CAPILANO ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATION
Our association is made up of a group of students that wish to pursue a career in accounting and/or finance. Our mandate is to create a social network that connects our fellow students with accounting and finance professionals.
A Special Thanks to our Presenting Sponsor
Without our sponsors the CAA would not be able to do what we love, which is to provide Capilano University students with opportunities to network, develop, and explore a potential career in accounting.
Become a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and join the ranks of BC’s top strategic and financial decision-makers. CPAs are valued for their financial expertise, strategic thinking, business insight, management skills, and leadership. Canadian CPAs are globally recognized as leaders in industry, commerce, finance, government, public practice, and other areas where accounting and financial management is required. CPAs advise multinational corporations, large and small businesses, not-for-profits, government agencies, and individuals.
Representing almost 35,000 CPA members and 5,000 CPA students, the Chartered Professional Accountant of British Columbia (CPABC) is the second largest professional organization in the province. CPABC is responsible for the training and certification of CPA students. The organization is also responsible for the regulation and professional development of its members, and the protection of the public through its ethical standards and discipline processes. In addition to these responsibilities, CPABC is also committed to providing the public with useful financial literacy information and contributing to the advancement of public policy.
